Rule #1: The 80% Inverter Oversizing Rule Nobody Tells You

Your 5kW inverter is rated for AC output. Solar panels make DC power. You must oversize the DC array 20-30% or the inverter clips power all day.

Required DC Watts = 5kW Inverter x 1.2 Oversize Factor = 6000W DC
6000W / 585W per panel = 10.25 → 11 panels MINIMUM
